Harry Smith has colonoscopy live on CBS Early Show

In recognition of national colorectal cancer awareness month, CBS' "The Early Show," co-anchor Harry Smith underwent a colonoscopy live on air, with additional reporting from Evening News anchor, EIF's National Colorectal Cancer Research Alliance co-founder, and Stand Up To Cancer co-founder Katie Couric. The segment, which aired March 10, looked at preparation for the procedure as well as the exam itself, and included a poignant tour of the Jay Monahan Center for Gastrointestinal Health at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, named for Couric's late husband, who lost his battle with colon cancer in 1998.
