The 16th Annual EIF Revlon Run/Walk For Women took place in Los Angeles with nearly 50,000 runners, walkers and spectators in attendance.

The annual fundraiser for women’s cancers was hosted by Emmy-nominated star of ABC’s “Samantha Who,” Christina Applegate, actress, singer and star of “Hannah Montana” Miley Cyrus, her mother Tish Cyrus, Revlon brand ambassador Beau Garrett and special guest and star of ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” Carrie Ann Inaba.  “Dancing with the Stars” star, Derek Hough lead the race - which took place at Los Angeles Exposition Park -  in the event pace car, while GRAMMY® Award-winning recording artist Michael Bolton headlined the event’s celebration concert in the Los Angeles Coliseum as the runners and walkers crossed the finish line.

On behalf of Pacific Bioscience Laboratories, Dr. Robb Akridge, Co-Founder of Clarisonic, took center stage during the opening ceremonies to present a $200,000 check as part of the company’s “Pink Ribbon” campaign.   One of the leading ladies from ABC’s “Desperate House Wives” Marcia Cross and star of “Fast & Furious” Jordana Brewster accepted the check on behalf of EIF.

Funds raised from today’s event will help support local Los Angeles-based cancer organizations including: AltaMed Health Services Corporation, Asian American Network for Cancer Awareness, Research & Training, Cancer Schmancer, Citrus Valley Medical Center, Gilda Radner Ovarian Cancer Detection Program, John Wayne Cancer Institute, Los Angeles Breast Cancer Alliance, Providence Saint Joseph Foundation, Revlon/UCLA Women's Cancer Research Program, Team Survivor Los Angeles, UCLA Digital Mammography Program, USC/Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center and Hospital, Wellness Community, and Women of Color Breast Cancer Survivors' Support Project.
