We are all committed to building a stronger and a more united America but we should not overlook a problem so close to home -- hunger. Today more than 13 million children in America are at risk of not getting the food they need to grow and develop properly. I am proud to join the Entertainment Industry Foundation and my own organization, the End Hunger Network, to take on the challenge of ending childhood hunger.

Ending hunger is not a mystery; by building on successful federal and state interventions like the school breakfast program, the majority of our nation's hungry children can get the food they need to perform well in school and stay healthy. But we need your help. Let's make ending hunger in the United States a national priority.

Everyone in America should have a place at the table to enjoy its bounty.
