All children deserve access to a nutritious meal before the start of each school day. The health and educational benefits of school breakfast are well documented. School breakfast is one of the most effective ways to combat childhood hunger. However, despite the benefits of school breakfast, participation numbers (of both schools and students) lag behind lunch numbers. There are a variety of reasons for the variance, including the stigma that children associate with school breakfast. EIF's Hunger Free America to expand school breakfast programs across the nation.
