Hunger is a national problem that can be solved if we work within our communities and states to help bring about greater awareness,
and to promote more effective national policy solutions. We encourage you to:
Familiarize yourself with the problem of hunger in your community and in your state. Look
up your state
Work with local groups that feed the hungry on an emergency basis, and support the efforts of state and
national organizations that work to end hunger. Look up EIF's Hunger Free America State Coalition for your state.
Encourage your Congressional representatives to end hunger by writing them to express your concerns, and
meet with elected officials to ask about their plans to make America a nation where no child goes hungry.
