Sprinkles Cupcakes Finds "Sweet Way" To Help Entertainment Industry Foundation's Women's Cancer Research Fund

Los Angeles, CA - Sprinkles Cupcakes - For the second year in a row, Los Angeles' leading cupcake bakery will generously donate the net proceeds from the sale of its strawberry cupcakes to benefit the Entertainment Industry Foundation's Women's Cancer Research Fund.

"We think a delicious strawberry cupcake topped with a pink sugar ribbon is a sweet way to support such an important cause during Breast Cancer Awareness Month," said Charles Nelson, Sprinkles Cupcakes president and co-founder. "EIF's Women's Cancer Research Fund is doing such great work and we are so proud to help."

Handcrafted from the highest quality ingredients and topped with signature sugar designs or real chocolate sprinkles from France, Sprinkles Cupcakes are a deliciously sophisticated spin on an American classic. Known for their moist, fluffy cakes topped with velvety frosting, Sprinkles freshly baked treats have inspired long lines of devoted Hollywood stars and serious epicureans alike.

EIF's Women's Cancer Research Fund was established by Honorary Chairs Rita Wilson, Tom Hanks, Kate Capshaw and Steven Spielberg, along with co-founders Kelly Chapman Meyer, Anne Douglas, Quinn Ezralow, Marion Laurie, and Jamie Tisch, and is committed to saving lives by raising funds and awareness for millions of women and their families at risk for or affected by cancer.

Nearly 350,000 women will be diagnosed with breast and gynecological cancers this year, claiming the lives of over 70,000 women. Money raised through Sprinkles Cupcakes fundraising campaign will support the EIF Breast Cancer Biomarker Discovery Project. Through this ambitious, first-of-its-kind scientific project, world-class scientists are collaborating to develop blood tests that will detect breast cancer in its earliest stages.
