LOS ANGELES --- Golden Globe® and Academy Award®-nominated actor and musician Terrence Howard, an ambassador for both the Entertainment Industry Foundation's National Colorectal Cancer Research Alliance and Stand Up To Cancer, has joined Screen for Life, a campaign in partnership with the Center For Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), to urge Americans to be screened for colorectal cancer.

Terrence has a personal connection to the disease; in new print and broadcast public service announcements, he talks movingly about losing his mother to colon cancer, saying, "Let my heartbreak be your wake-up call." His PSAs are the latest in this Screen for Life PSA series; others feature Katie Couric, Jimmy Smits, Diane Keaton, and Morgan Freeman.
