UnitedHealthcare’s ’Do Good. Live Well.’ Campaigns
Volunteers to Construct First Playground at Elementary School in 60 Years
The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’s Julia Jones, Tinsel Korey and Alex will join UnitedHealthcare employees, community volunteers and students to participate in a playground build at Resurrection School in Los Angeles, as part of a larger effort within the Entertainment Industry Foundation’s iParticipate and UnitedHealthcare’s “Do Good. Live Well.” volunteer campaigns.
The multi-day build starts with a celebrity construction kickoff on Thursday, June 10, where Julia Jones, Tinsel Korey, and Alex Meraz will be on hand to prep the site, which will become the school’s first playground in 60 years and the only playground within a two-mile radius.
On Saturday, June 12, local leaders and hundreds of volunteers from the school, community and UnitedHealthcare will gather to turn an empty blacktop into a new playground, along with side projects like planting gardens and painting murals. Saturday’s event also incorporates a Fun and Fit Fest, which includes free health screenings, informational booths, free healthy snacks and other family focused activities.
