EIF’s National Colorectal Cancer Research Alliance (NCCRA) is dedicated to the eradication of colorectal cancer by promoting the importance of early medical screening and funding research to develop better tests, treatments, and ultimately a cure. The initiative was co-founded in March of 2000 by Katie Couric, Lilly Tartikoff, and EIF. Click here to make a donation.
View the latest colorectal cancer PSA featuring Golden Globe® and Academy Award®-nominated actor and musician Terrence Howard, an ambassador for both the Entertainment Industry Foundation's National Colorectal Cancer Research Alliance and Stand Up To Cancer.
He has joined Screen for Life, a campaign in partnership with the Center For Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), to urge Americans to be screened for colorectal cancer. Terrence has a personal connection to the disease; in new print and broadcast public service announcements, he talks movingly about losing his mother to colon cancer, saying, "Let my heartbreak be your wake-up call." His PSAs are the latest in this Screen for Life PSA series; others feature Katie Couric, Jimmy Smits, Diane Keaton, and Morgan Freeman.
