Communications Coordinator

Communications Coordinator provides crucial social media and content management support for EIF programs.

The Coordinator must be a critical thinker with strong project management skills who enjoys collaborating with team members and supporting program efforts. The Communications Coordinator is kind, self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented. This full-time position reports to the Chief of Communications and Administration.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implement and manage social media strategy for Foundation programs
  • Track and report on social media KPIs
  • Manage follower engagement on all platforms
  • Build relationships with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network
  • Collaborate with the disaster relief program team to ensure correct and consistent posts
  • Remain up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies
  • Create EIF website content, assess its performance, and optimize
  • Collaborate with the Operations team to ensure the functionality of fundraising tools leveraged for the EIF website
  • Manage content creation and execution of the EIF newsletter
  • Support Google Ad Grant management

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • At least three years experience as a social media specialist or a similar role
  • Communications degree from an accredited institution of higher learning or equivalent experience
