Know Your Rights Camp Operations Manager

SUMMARY

Know Your Rights Camp, a fund of the Entertainment Industry Foundation (“EIF” or the “Foundation”), a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, is seeking a Program Manager. KYRC’s mission is to advance the liberation and well-being of Black and Brown communities through education, mass mobilization, and the creation of new systems that elevate the next generation of change leaders. Currently, the KYRC Autopsy Initiative provides victims’ families with free secondary autopsy services. The Operations Manager is a critical position that will lead operations, conduct risk analysis risk management, and engage in process improvement strategies to advance the Initiative’s objective. This hybrid position is located in Los Angeles, CA, and requires in-office work three days per week (Tuesday through Thursday, subject to change).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

EIF/KYRC reserves the right to modify the job responsibilities listed below.

Create systems and strategies to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of autopsy and related services as the Initiative expands
Conduct risk analysis and risk management while eliminating and mitigating potential risks, creating contingency plans to manage issues that arise, and auditing processes and procedures in leading operations for autopsy services
Serve as the primary point of contact for pathologists for autopsy services
Lead all transportation coordination and routinely communicate with funeral directors, pathologist coordinators, pathologist assistants, and transport agencies
Assist in growing our forensic pathologist network and public health network
Develop partnerships and collaborations to further the Initiative’s objective
Send letters, consent forms, and documentation to relevant parties
Ensure billing matters, invoices, and reimbursements are properly and timely dispersed
Perform budget monitoring, expense tracking, and financial reporting
Evaluate program outcomes and make data-driven recommendations for improvements
Perform data tracking and analysis and record keeping, ensuring all aspects of the process are properly documented, organized, and completed with updated information
Assist with case management and intake as needed based on the volume and complexity of cases by conducting introductory, preliminary, and final calls with victims’ families
Plan networking and outreach events such as program-related events, meetings, and conferences to continue to spread awareness and expand the Initiative’s impact
Manage any additional team members assisting with operations as the Initiative expands
Assist with onboarding and task delegation of interns and volunteers
Support and strategize with Legal Program Director and other KYRC team members
Attend departmental and other meetings and travel as necessary for events
Collaborate with other departments and administrative staff as needed.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
An advanced degree in law, business, or public health benefits this role.
5 years of relevant experience with 2-4 years of working in operations, consulting, law or risk management, OR a combination of education and experience.
Business acumen with working knowledge of G Suite, Excel, PowerPoint, and Asana.

SALARY RANGE: $75,000- $85,000
