EIF SNAPSHOT – AUGUST 2019
FROM OUR PRESIDENT & CEO
Dear Friends,
We’re excited to share a snapshot of the Entertainment Industry Foundation's work and the impact that you’ve helped make possible. Our plan is to share these updates with you on a quarterly basis.
From disaster relief to civic engagement, health and education, we are here to address critical issues and positively impact communities. With your help, in the past year, EIF successfully launched our crisis relief program, Music for Relief, while Stand Up To Cancer celebrated its best-ever televised fundraiser.
It is our tremendous honor and privilege to be a resource to you in your philanthropic efforts, and we thank you for your partnership and support!

PROGRAM SPOTLIGHT
Music for Relief Disaster Response and Preparedness Campaign
In the wake of three fast-moving wildfires in 2018, Music for Relief offered the entertainment community and the public an immediate way to provide support to those most affected. The industry responded by donating more than $2 million toward relief efforts. In December, Music for Relief donated vital equipment, including hydration packs central to a firefighter’s safety, to first responders across California. Grants also supported 10 additional organizations that offer recovery to families affected by the wildfires.
On June 1st, Music for Relief launched a preparedness campaign encouraging individuals and communities to be ready for wildfires and other forms of disaster, including tips on what to do in the wake of a disaster.
