TOGETHER FOR HER |
As the global spread of COVID-19 has forced people indoors, life has become even more dangerous for women and children experiencing domestic violence, especially for those who are most marginalized. The quarantine environment causes increased stress levels, which exacerbate tensions, paired with the unprecedented levels of financial insecurity and unemployment, to increase the likelihood of intimate partner violence (IPV). Together for Her is a partnership between the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project, CARE and EIF to provide funds to keep women and children safe. Your donation will help fund accommodation/shelter, case management, psycho-social support and counseling, helplines, crisis intervention, legal services, and additional support mechanisms for women and children experiencing domestic violence, inclusive of the LGBTQ+ community. |

KNOW YOUR RIGHTS CAMP COVID-19 RELIEF FUND |
Hundreds of years of structural racism is making Black and Brown communities more vulnerable to the coronavirus. Black and Brown people are more likely to be infected, less likely to be tested, less likely to be treated, and more likely to die from COVID-19. Know Your Rights Camp COVID-19 Relief Fund was established by Colin Kaepernick to address this disparity and support Black and Brown communities with food, shelter, education, PPE, and support for criminalized and incarcerated populations. |
