Through its Women’s Cancer Programs, the Entertainment Industry Foundation created and funded two distinct, cutting-edge research projects: one to develop an early detection blood test for breast cancer; and the other to fast-track more effective, less toxic breast cancer treatments.
Over a 21-year period (1993-2014), EIF held one of the largest single-day women’s cancer fundraisers in the country annually: the EIF Revlon Run/Walk for Women. In total, over a million people participated in the EIF Revlon Run/Walk for Women, with more than $70 million distributed to support women’s cancer research, counseling and outreach programs.
